SATECON delivers through four interlocking work packages: from strategy and education to technology and a lasting cross-border network.
WP1 establishes the foundations of the project: a shared strategic framework, concrete operational plans, and a common Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) for introducing smart agriculture in all participating countries.
It aligns the nine partner organisations around common goals, governance and timelines, ensuring every later activity builds on a coordinated, cross-border plan.

WP2 develops the curricula and training that turn technology into capability. Universities and agencies co-design material that equips farmers, advisors and students to understand and apply smart agriculture.
Lectures, seminars, workshops and trainings strengthen the skills of agricultural advisory services and support farmers in moving from traditional to technology-driven methods.
View full work package →The technical core of SATECON. WP3 selects and integrates specific technologies into packages tailored to each area of agricultural production: sensor networks, drones, IoT devices, data analytics and software.
These packages are then demonstrated through six pilots that prove the technology in real-world farming scenarios across the three countries.
