// The challenge
Smart agriculture is still underused across the region
A common characteristic among farmers is a focus on traditional and often economically less viable methods, resulting in slow adoption of new crops and technologies. The region also lacks clearly defined goals and the infrastructure needed to disseminate knowledge and build trust in smart agriculture.
To make national production competitive in all three countries, the focus must shift to quality, added value and productivity, achievable through the solutions smart agriculture offers.

// Our approach
Interdisciplinary by design
SATECON pairs experts in IT and modern technologies with agronomists to select specific, market-proven technological elements and integrate them into functional systems, ready for demonstration among producers in a climatologically and morphologically diverse area.
Select
Choose proven sensors, drones and software for each sector.
Integrate
Combine them into functional technological packages.
Demonstrate
Run pilots on real farms across the three countries.
Scale
Share results and build trust for wider adoption.
// What we aim to achieve
Project aims
Raise awareness that smart agricultural production improves quality, reduces cost and risk, and increases competitiveness for producers.
Encourage young farmers to stay and create new value in rural areas, helping prevent rural depopulation.
Enhance the competitiveness of agriculture, a sector that has degraded across all three countries over recent decades.
Build resilience to disruptions in global supply chains amid uncertain geopolitical and security conditions.
// A cross-border partnership
Three countries, shared challenges
Residents share cultural heritage and comparable markets, facing common inherited structural problems in agriculture, which makes a joint, cross-border approach uniquely effective.
